K40H Male/Female

Fixed OR Movable Pin Sights

Front Stabilizer no longer than 12"

Rangefinders are permitted

A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with or without sights. Rangefinders are permitted. A sight may have fixed or moveable pins. Known 40 Hunter archers may NOT use a lens with magnification. If circle style pins are used, all circles must be the same size. A sight may have a rear aperture, (i.e., peep sight or fixed rifle type sight). Arrows must have screw in field points, at least three (3) feathers or vanes no less than 2 inches long. Front stabilizer no longer than 12" and rear stabilizer no longer than 8". Additional Vbars, counter balances, or weighted attachments are prohibited (For the purposes of this rule, any device adding length or weight to the stabilizer shall be considered part of the stabilizer. Unweighted vibration dampeners are not considered to be stabilizers; however, unweighted vibration dampeners attached to the stabilizer are measured as a part of the stabilizer and are subject to the 12-inch rule above. Equipment in this class may be shot with a finger tab, shooting glove or release. K40H must/may shoot with archers in other known classes, archers shoot from the red stake.







BIA SOY archers will only be able to compete in one known class per season. ONCE a archer competes in the Known 50 class they will not be allowed to shoot in the Known 40 Hunter class for SOY.
